How to use the value of an Indicator from a previous bar

If you want to use in your conditions the value of an Indicator from a previous bar, then you can use the Previous Value indicator available in the list of Indicators.

Step 1: While in the Strategy Builder, search for Previous Value indicator in the list of Indicators.

Step 2: Drag it into the Condition area where you want to use it

Step 3: Set the parameters for the Indicator

Let's take a real life example. We want to get the value of RSI from 2 bars before.

We will drag the Previous Value indicator in the condition.

For the Source parameter, we will chose Relative Strength Index

For the Shift Back parameter, we will enter 2

If we want to change the parameters of the RSI, then we will click on the RSI link in the Breadcrumb and change parameters according to our needs.
